Engine Mechanical problem
1995 Mazda MX6 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 200300 miles

I just bought a mazda mx6 1995 automatic. The problem is,the gears are working properly,when i put on reverse,it goes on reverse. If i put on P or N its working properly. Now, when i put on D, the gear doesnt wana shift to 2nd gear nor upwards. Please assist me, on what might the problem.thankyou
