No power to fuel pump

1989 Mazda MX6 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 165,00 miles
i was cleanin my connectors under the hood and a friend of mine said that wd40 was recmmended for this job needless to say my car has not started since then i did go and get the right cleaner for the electrical connectors sprayed it on there and left them open til they aired out, do you think that is why my fuel pump is not gettin any power, or do you think its just a relay or short circuit, i checked the fuses, checked everything triple times i jumped the test connector for fuel pump and its good the car just acts like its out of gas the engine isnt gettin gas cuz the pump isnt gettin power. so what to do
