1993 Mazda MX3 Leaks
Engine Cooling problem
1993 Mazda MX3 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 115000 miles
My girlfriends car has been giving her a lot of problems lately. The latest and last to be fixed is a leak in the cooling system causing it to overheat overtime. I've narrowed it down to the area around the output of the waterpump from the engine block. All the hoses seem to check out and don't seem to be leaking. The leak seems to be coming from under the hose attachment points. Also one of the mounting bolts broke off when i was tightening it.
So my questions are. Does this sound like a bad water pump? And are the mounting bolts replaceable with a new waterpump?
