1992 Mazda MX3 Alternator Belt
Engine Mechanical problem
1992 Mazda MX3 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 192000 miles
The alternator belt keeps breaking off. This past time the belt stayed on for a week. The pulleys are not loose or damaged. The alternator is brand new. There is no pulley tensioner on this model. Any ideas to keeping the next belt on and not squealing?

Pullies maybe worn allowing belt to go below top of pully. When tis happens it breaks the belt ply. Also belt is being over tightened.
