BURNING RUBBER SMELL & EXCESSIVE VIBRATION

I HAVE TWO PROBLEMS WITH MY 1996 MAZDA MIATA WITH 103,000 MILES. WHEN FIRST DRIVING I NOTICE A SMELL OF BURNT RUBBER WHICH GOES AWAY AFTER ABOUT 3 TO 5 MINUTES BUT WILL REOCCUR AFTER CAR SITS AND COOLS. I CANNOT DETERMINE IF THIS IS ASSOCIATED WITH ANOTHER PROBLEM WHICH IS EXCESSIVE STEERING WHEEL AND FRONT END VIBRATION STARTING AT 60MPH. EXCESSIVE ENOUGH TO CAUSE THE PASSENGER FRONT SEAT TO SHAKE. I HAVE REPLACED ALL TIRES AND BALANCED AND ALIGNED FRONT END BUT STILL HAVE VIBRATION PROBLEM. I ALSO CANNOT DETERMINE IF THE SMELL AND VIBRATION ARE ASSOCIATED. ANY IDEAS?

I can't tell from your post. See if you can tell where the smell is the strongest. When you smell rubber, stop the car, raise the hood and sniff arund, get a friend to help. Do it soon as it could cause an accident
