1999 Mazda b4000 Repair Question

1999 Mazda b4000 4x4 Low range
Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1999 Mazda b4000 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 126000 miles
Will not go into 4x4 Low range when selected with dash switch. I cannot hear a relay click, nor does the 4x4 LOW range dash light come on. It goes from 2wheel drive into 4x4 High range fine.
My method is to coast very slowly, and easy while changing dash switch.
Fuses seem to be OK.
