1996 Mazda b4000 Shifting problems
Transmission problem
1996 Mazda b4000 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 97,342 miles
At first, the over drive would not work unless the vehicle was moving. Now it will start, but when placed in any gear, it will lurch and stall. I'm getting tired of being told I need to buy an $1800.00 transmission when it seems that a repair might be much cheaper and easier. I suspect the TCC from what I've read, but I'd like to have more info on the subject. I miss my truck, can you help?

The only way to tell is disconnect the TCC solenoid and see what happens
