At random times the truck won't start. It is totally dead, no power to anything. The battery and alternator have been tested and are in good working order. I charged the battery and tried to start it...nothing happened. I disconnected the charger, tried again, got a grinding noise that I could hear loudly behind the steering column. Still no start. tried again and it started. Could there be a short somewhere. Why would it start fine for a month, then randomly be dead?
