1995 Mazda b2300 Repair Question

Depressing clutch increases rpms
Engine Performance problem
1995 Mazda b2300 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 104000 miles
When I step on the clutch the rpms instead of decreasing, will increase. Instead of going down to 1000 rpms like it should it will go up to 1500 - 2000 rpms while the truck is moving. As soon as the truck stops moving the rpms will drop.
I think this happens after the truck gets hot. Seems to be an intermittent problem.
I have changed the throttle position sensor with another used one and ensured the wires are clipped on it is tight. It will work for awhile then goes crazy.
