Check Engine Light on Mazda 626 2000
One morning, my Mazda 626 2000 refused to start. I called AAA roadsie assistance to jump start the same. The mechanic found the batteery ok, but managed to start the car by pulling the accelerator connecting cable near the engine.
After that, the check Engine light used to flash momentarily at random.
The car gave starting trouble on two more occasions, but I managed to start it myself by pressing the accelerator pedal continuously. But since the the check engine light is continuously on.
What could be the problem? Do I need engine tune-up? What type of repair / tune-up do I need from mechanic?
