No matter what speed or rpm driving - the rpm will drop from the current rpm to 1000 rpm (for a less than an second) and then return to original rpm resulting a "jerk" in the transmission. No engine light comes on. Problem is sporadic, occurring at any rpm or regardless if the A/C is running or not. Took the car to a mechanic who checked spark plugs and wiring and found no problems. Could it be the fuel filter?

Scan the computer even if you don't have a check engine light-

Have the fuel pressure checked if okay-check/test the throttle position sensor, MAF sensor, vehicle speed sensor-
