1997 Mazda 626 front end shake/wobble
Shakes or Wobbles problem
1997 Mazda 626 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 135000 miles
I was told that my cv joints were going out, so I had the left one done, then I don't know if it was as a result of that, or just a coincidence, but i started to feel a wobble, very slight though, when i was accelerating, especially when making a left in one specific intersection where i live. I knew the right cv joint still needed replacing, so I then had that replaced 2 weeks later (the entire halfshaft for both sides actually). Well, the wobble is still there, and now it does it in second and third gears mostly, and fades away once i reach highway speeds (45 and up). I've read elsewhere it could be the right axle, and cheap ones have that issues. Should I continue to focus on the axle? Or should I start thinking of other possibilities? My dad checked and doesn't see anything going out - such as the tire rods, shocks, struts, wheel barrings, or ball joints... Maybe a slipped belt in a tire??
