Replacing power side mirror

2008 Mazda 3 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 28000 miles
My daughter backed into the trash can this morning and now the drivers side mirror is hanging off of her 2008 Mazda3. I notice that a replacement on line is only about $50, but I wonder: on a scale of 1 to 10, how challenging a repair would this be for an 18-year-old? Special tools needed?
