Loud noise from engine also stalls car while idle.

I hear a lound screeching noise from the engine of my car. I cannot pinpoint where the noise is coming from. The first time I experienced it was two days ago at a traffic light when my car suddenly made the noise and stalled out.

Id say that you've got a pulley bearing and or belt going bad. Take the belt off and rotate the pulleys by hand to see if one is binding or wobbly. The tensioner or idler pulleys are notorious for this. If in doubt replace the belt before reinstalling one that's been squealing and is burned shiny on the back side
