My alternator went bad, so when I replaced it I also replaced the serpentine belt and spark plugs. After replacing these things the car will start but won't go above 1200 RPMS. So I bought an OBD2 Diagnostic Tool and was able to pull 2 codes, P2104 and P2112. From what I found on the internet theses codes mean, Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Idle and Throttle Actuator Control System - Stuck Closed. I'm not sure what to do now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
What engine? Have checked to see if a connector make have been disloged during work? Also was car jump started during this ALT failure?
It's the 2.3L. I checked over all connections and they all seem good. I did try jumpstarting it after replacing the alternator but it wouldn't start. I had to charge the battery over night.
Any chance polarity was crossed? chek all fuses especially underhood box
I actually just checked every fuse I could find and they are all OK.
Going to ask a friend that works for Ford when he gets home tonight see what ideas he has.
Got him on phone said most likely something binding throttle cable or vacuum to IMRC off
