The check engine light comes on at almost every start up. There's not the usual power from the engine (bogging and struggling). There's no movement on the temperature gauge and no heat. Then the dreaded red lightening bolt of doom comes on. I pull over and restart the car and voila, the temperature gauge shoots up, the dreaded red red lightening bolt goes off and heat is blasting. As the heat is coming on and the gauge is moving, I hear a swish noise like liquid. The noise seems to come from the driver side and sounds like it's from under the hood closer to the driver's cabin location. When I go slower than 65 MPH, the temperature gauge moves towards cooler, and the air is not as warm from the ducts. Also, sometimes when the car is warm, it won't turn over/won't start until it cools off some. I have this every day and am really concerned. Please help.

Thank you,
dave

My 2008 dodge mag does the same thing! Did you ever figure out what the problem was? It also acts like it doesn't want to start sometimes and when it does start it acts like it wants to shut off but then when it finally does crank up it spudders for a second then it acts right
