WHERE are the adjuster screws to adjust the headlight beams on a 2003 Mercury Marquis? How can I find these screws? Are they hidden and what are they next to? Where are they located in relation to the engine or radiator, etc. If they are on the headlight, where on the headlight are they - under what? DO I have to remove parts to get to them or is it simply a matter of opening up the hood and peering directly down at them?

Thank you.

1. The headlamp aiming procedure depends on what type of beam pattern the headlamp is equipped with. To identify the headlamp beam pattern, look on the headlamp lens. Molded in small letters on the headlamp lens is one of the following:
SAE
VOL
VOR
2. Once the headlamp beam pattern is identified, aim the headlamps using one of the following methods as applicable.
Photometric aimers can aim SAE, VOL and VOR type headlamps. This is the preferred method of headlamp aiming.
Visual or screen method aiming can be used to aim SAE, VOL and VOR type headlamps.
Mechanical aimers can only be used with SAE type headlamps. Lamps that can be aimed mechanically will have three nibs molded into the lens of the lamp.

Here are the diagrams we have to get the job done. Also park 25 feet away on level ground and mark with tape on screen 8 ft. Adjust edge of HIGH beams to no higher than that. Check out the diagrams (Below) Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
