1987 Lincoln Town Car engine shakes bad under load

Engine problem
1987 Lincoln Town Car V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 175k miles

The car seems to run ok when it is cold but after it warms up a little and I try to excelerate the engine shakes like it is running on 4 cyls, no power. When it is park or netural an step on gas, it is ok. This happens at all speeds when it is drive. Gave it a gerenal tune up, check timing, change plugs an wires, fuel filter. Checked fuel line pressure an cleaned fuel lines. I am thinking it is a emmision sensor but not sure. HELP.

I had a similar problem and did essentially eveything you did with the same result. My mechanic finally determined after having the car for a month that the fuel rail was rusted internally restricting the amount of fuel to the cylinders. He remembered having repaired a similar problem years ago. Car has run great since.
