Car won't shift into overdrive
1992 Lincoln Mark VII Front Wheel Drive Automatic 154000 miles
I just bought a 92 Lincoln Mark VII- it drove fine in the city, but when I tried to merge onto the highway the speedometer kept falling while the engine heat and RPMs went up. The steering wheel was shaking as well. I'm guessing the car won't shift into overdrive. The owner had no idea when the last oil change was. What is the best and worse case scenario?
