2002 Lincoln LS LS won't start

The car won't start; I hear a chattering noise in the fuse box on the right side of the engine and the lights are a very deem and then everything goes dead. The engine never turns over. When I jump the battery, the car starts right away but even after running it for a while it won't start after turning it off. Also, when running after jump, the status messages and the radio panel would not light up for a couple of minutes and then it comes back ok.
