Engine Performance problem
2002 Lincoln LS V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 94k miles

engine missing. Intermittent is more evident when under load going up hill. Had it to dealer and they could find nothing wrong with it. And were unable to get the problem to show up.I was told to run it until the engine lite comes on. That was two months ago. Car still missing. Please recommend a dealer for repairs in 18360 area or a solution to this problem. Thank you

Lack of acceleration, chugging, hesitating, jerking, bogging, misfiring etc. Could be caused by one of the following below:

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Crankshaft position sensor
Knock sensor
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard it.
