How do you take the console off. my girlfriend keys were in the cup holder and she closed it and her keys fell inside. Thank you.

you do not have to tear the console apart to get your keys back.
there is a piece of trim that surrounds the door of the cigarette lighter. open the door like you're going to use the lighter.
put the end of your key or flat screwdriver on top of both sides of the trim piece and pry out easily.
lfit up on both sides of the console and shift it forward and back and lifting it over the top of the gear shift.
remove your keys. replace the console and tap into place to fit correctly. reattach the trim piece.
you're done! the entire process only takes 30 seconds.
