2000 Lincoln LS V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i got new balljoints for my lincoln ls they are only lowers and i cant get the old ones out is there any trick or anything i should know about? it seems like i have to take the wheel barring housing out to get to them. can i please know the right way to do this as soon as possible

The lower ball joint is serviced with the lower control arm as an assembly.
