Mileage suddenly went from 22mpg to 15mpg. Spark plugs have 10,000 miles on change. Engine starts and runs good. No gasoline leaks observed. Air filter 1 year old and not clogged.

An air filter might have something to do with it, 1 year old it should be changed ever 15,000. Aside from that MAF sensor could be dirty, they now make a spray cleaner for cleaning the platinium wire, spray it only, do not touch it with rags or anything else.

Another problem could be a bad 02 sensor, thes sensors, along with the MAF control injector pulse width, (how long) it stays open.
