2002 Lexus SC 430 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 75000 miles

I have a bad O2 sensor on my SC430. It is the post catalytic sensor.

I need to find the connector so I can disconnect it. I don't want to cut the wire unless I have to. The wire from the sensor routes through the floor, under the carpet & to the console. The problem is the carpet is molded & attached on every side. I can't easily get to the sensor wire. Is the connector under the carpet? If so, how do I get under the carpet to access the connector?
