2007 Lexus RX 350 30,000 Mile Scheduled Maintenance
Brakes problem
2007 Lexus RX 350 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic 30,000 miles
Is it really necessary to replace the brake fluid every 30,000 as listed in the Owners Manual? If so, WHY? I have owned 20+ new cars and have always followed scheduled maintenance and had it performed by the dealership through the factory warranty period, but I have never heard of this before. Although this is my first Lexus, and I have never had any problem with the brakes, it seem like a ploy to increase service department revenue (+$300 quote for this). If you believe it is important to do this, should I also ask them to replace the muffler bearings?...
