2000 Lexus RX 300 Repair Question
Asked on August 18, 2010
Intermitant low pitch noise and vibration
Noises problem
2000 Lexus RX 300 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 160000 miles
I purchased the car (2000 lexus RX 300) ABOUT A WEEK AGO. I test drove the car extensively on the street and highway, and there was no noise and vibration then. However, starting yesterday we notice a vibration and noise coming from outside of the car affecting the steering wheel. the problem goes away after a while or when it is turned off and on again. we have no idea where the noise/ vibration spesicfcally comes from, as it sounds coming from the whole outside body. I have heard of these cars having transmission sensor problem; would that be a cause? or there are other causes. it has about 160,000 miles on it.
I appriciated your help.
