1990 Lexus ES 250 What is the best way to access rear spark

1990 Lexus ES 250 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 87243 miles
I am fairly adept at working on general tune up work, but this has me stumped. I have no way to reach the rear plugs on my 1990 Lexus ES250 6 cyl. I have the Toyota Shop Manual and it goes not give any special information on how o access rear plugs, just specs for gap, torque, ect.
Do I need a special type of socket extension? Do you need to remove the intake manifold assembly ( bad idea as it is intergal to fule injection sstem)?
Please help engine performance is terrible with mileage on prem gas at 12-14 on the highway no A/C on.
