1982 Land Rover Series 3 Grinding Gears
Transmission problem
1982 Land Rover Series 3 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 80,700 miles
Greetings - I have an 82, SIII, 88", diesel, RHD. Gears 3 and 4 grind a little when putting into gear most of the time, gear 4 more than 3. Any suggestions? Also, I replaced all the shocks and it still tilts to the right a little. Any suggestions?

Hi there,
This is a bit of a problem with these transmissions i have a disco series 2 and it's the same, just change the trans oil and use an oil stabilizer and go easy on the gear changes, there is not much more you can do apart from a new set of syncros, as for the lean this will be a soft spring.
