Engine Performance problem
2000 Other Rover Models 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 78250 miles
Hello,
we have a problem in our freelander that it smokes a dark colour from the exhaust pipe.
we changed the fuel pump but the problems remained the same and. from where do you think this problem come from as i personally think it might be in one of the sensors(throttle valve positioning, mass air flow and inlet manifold sensor.
please provide me with the possible reasons to this problem.

So you have black smoke? Engine is running too rich, is your check engine light on?
