2000 Land Rover Freelander 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual 80000 miles
hi,my landrover freelander has broken down in the middle of God's nowhere! i'm pretty sure it is the propshaft, but i 'm sure the transmission and front drive shafts are o.k......if i cut through/rip off the propshaft will i be able to drive it home(120 miles) front wheel drive?....does it have a limited slip diff?...will all the power just go to the spinning broken off prop?........is the front / rear wheel drive have a permenant 50/50 power split...even so,would breaking off the prop shaft cause catasrophic loss of lubricant/transmission oil? the engine is mounted front wheel drive style with the long propshaft...thankyou
