Engine Cooling problem

Hello, I have a 2002 Land Rover Discovery II. I have had more than a couple of problems with overheating that I have fixed. But the overheating problem I have now is that the truck is overheating when I am stilling still in park or in drive, or like in a fast food drive threw or stop light etc... But when I start to drive and proceed to accelerate the hand goes back to normal, right in the middle of hot and cold as it should be. If u guys could help it would be much appreciated! Thanx
