I went on vacation and my mom had to use my car for a day. When she picked it up at my house a light on the dash came on but went off the 2nd time she drove it. She does not remember what the light was.

Before vacation the car easily shifted to drive, reverse, park, etc. Now the gear shift doesn't slide as easily. Other than that everything seems fine.

Any help would be wonderful! Not sure if the light that came on has any bearing.
