Hello,
When I'm in drive, at about 30 mph I can hear it wind up but nothing happens till I let off then it catches. I got the car brand new before I knew anything about cars so I only knew to change the oil at certain intervals. So basically I'm wanting to know my options. No fluid is missing at this time. It does smell burnt and I've thats a bad sign. I've also heard its not advised to flush the transmission after this long of a time. So is it possible to drain and replace with new fluid and something such as Slick 50? Thank you for time.

I dont really hold much faith in additives. Honestly at this point I dont see what a flush would hurt, but you can try a regular service and filter first to seeif it makes a difference. You may have a partially plugged filter

I've heard that its not wise to service it when its gone that far passed the certain mark because what would be holding a potential problem together is now gone sort of thing.

I agree, but if it already slipping, what do you have to lose? It may prolong the life of the trans for a little while
