2002 Kia Sorento Idles Rough

2002 Kia Sorento 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 75000 miles
When I have to stop for lights, car idels real rough when in gear, especially when the AC is on. If I put it in nuetral is smooths out. It is also burning alot of fuel

Check the ect(engine coolant temperature) sensor, but it is affecting your powertrain, and Kia covers that for 10 years or 100,000 miles? Is your check engine light on? Other possibility is the fuel pressure regulator is defective, or stuck EGR, reading the codes could narrow it down...
