2001 Kia Rio DOES NOT SHIFT GEARS correctly or smoothly
starting to drive in forward gears transmission does not shift to higher gear till kms grts to 50,high gear at just over 62 kms shift is rough,code showed a fault with the TPS could the trottle position sensor really cause this problem?? engine trouble light is on in the dash,it was reset without replacing the tps but it came on again,appreciate your input before i start to spend money----

Shifting on newer cars is controlled by the PCM rather than a mechanical cable.
Have the PCM scanned in live data mode to see what the TPS is reading, it is probably reading a low voltage causing the PCM to shift at a higher RPM.
If so, then replace the TPS.
