SPORTAGE WON'T START/ OVERHEATING
I have a 2001 Kia Sportage. Recently while driving it died and would not start. After several tries I got it started only to have it die at a light 1/2 mile down the road. I checked the battery, oil, air filter, belts, fuses, etc. All were fine. It is not the alternator as I have not had any probs w/ power. I replaced the fuel filter & lines going to the filter. I replaced the PVC valve. Still won't start. I replaced the fuel pump and it will start after several tries and runs fine. But then I shut it off again and have to try a dozen times for it to start. Now my engine is overheating while in park, but not while driving and still having starting probs. Took it to an auto parts store and had them run a diagnostic and got a p1115 message but they said that would not account for it not starting. Already spent lots of time and $ on this stupid car, need an answer to whats causing all this PLEASE.
