I have a Kia Sephia LS Sedan 4 door - year 2000, w/ 93,542 miles on it. It has generally been a real dependable car.

Just recently the belt [found out when it broke it was Alternator belt] began to squeak intermittently. It did this for about 50 miles and then it broke. Put new belt on and it is STILL squeaking intermittently. Please help me locate the cause before belt breaks!

Kia's needa be tightened really, really well. Especially the alternater belt. Up by the alternater take that nut and tighten it as hard as you manually can. That nut backs off and loosens the belt, thats whats causing the squealing. Or use a locknut, I went through like 6 of those belts before I figured it out, now the problems stopped lol.
