2000 Kia Sephia no power

My son has a 2000 Kia Sephia, 125,000 miles, 1.8L engine, 5 speed manual transmission.

It will start, but has no power. It dosen't want to go above 3000 rpm. 2 months ago it got a new head gasket and timing belt. Today I installed new plugs, wires and coil packs, fuel filter, and air filter. It has not really improved. I checked the codes and only showed a misfire on two cylinders prior to changing everything.

Is the catalytic converter the next most likely problem? What else should I look for?

Thanks in advance

To check if it is the cat first, try pulling out one ok the o2 sensors, in front of the cat, if your power comes back it probibly is the cat.
