1994 Other Kia Models my engine starts on its own

Recently my cars starter burnt out. It was replaced, but every time the battery is reconnected the car tries to start on its own. What could be causing it to do this?

Check on the starter if the wires r touching each other or you connected the wires wrong on starter. Also can be that the starter came with a defect. Go get another starter im sure your is under warranty if you just baught it.
