2006 Other Jeep Models engines lights

The dealer said the Check engine light on my 2006 jeep commander means it needs plugs, air filter, and PCV valve. Is this just a millage light or do I have a real problem?

All the things they say needed to be replaced probably do since you have almost 50000 miles on it. The parts are cheep and with a repair manual you can do it yourself. After your done take it back to the auto parts store (checkers, pepboys)and they can reset the light for free most the time.
