2006 Jeep Liberty sudden stop of ac
Air Conditioning problem
2006 Jeep Liberty 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 25000 miles
While driving with AC on there was a strong burning smell with no freon loss and instantly I had no AC. Smell subsided. I had it checked out and was told the freon was all there and the compressor worked but there was a short when engaging it. We were en route with no time to have it repaired so now it is 2 months later. Took it to a dealership who They put a fuse in, it blew. Said it needs a clutch and total repairs are $1000. Do these symptoms match the diagnosis from the dealership? What else could it be that they may not have checked? thanks
