I get a P0500 code.
My door locks stopped working. When they do work the switch works, but then it goes out again. Now it just doesn't work. You had said:
the sensor itself is most likely not at fault. This is a common issue on your vehicle.. Their is a wiring connector on the rear axle housing that goes to the vehicle speed sensor. The wiring often gets damaged on the e-brake cable due to bad positioning. This wiring will need repaired and placed differently so that it does not happen again.
What is the best way to get to this, and just where is it? I guess I would need a picture as to how and where this is to fix PLEASE.

This code is not going to be a sensor issue because it is more than likely you have antilock brakes, so there is no speed sensor. The BCM gets all the wheel speed signals and then it calculates the vehicle speed using these sensors. It is more likely a circuit issue or even a PCM issue.

So, what I would recommend is we run through the testing that is attached below and let me know if you have questions on this.

Please see all the info below on this and let me know what you find. Thanks
