2004 Jeep Laredo Shudder when changing gears

2004 Jeep Laredo 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 95000 miles
When the transmission changes from second to third gear there is a slight flutter as if you had hit a bump in the road. It seems to be slipping. A repairman said it may be the overdrive going out. Another said it may be a module or sensor. Any ideas?
