2000 Jeep Laredo Signal Flasher

2000 Jeep Laredo 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 149000 miles
My right turn signals front and back work fine. My left turn signals do not work at all. I replaced the bulbs and that is not the problem. I checked the fuses adn there is not one that separated right from left so that is not the problem. I am thinking it is the signal flasher but don't know how to locate it and check it for functionality. How do I go about checking it and how do I find it?
