Noises problem
1989 Jeep Laredo 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 147k miles

Hey all,

I just bought a 89 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4.0 straight 6. The fuel pump is going bad and my mechanic can not find a fuel pump that will fit. This is massively frustrating and I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem and what should I do. I was trying to fix it before it went out. My mechanic says this particular fuel pump was only used for three years and isn't made any longer. He cant find anything, seems unbelievable. Any advice or help would make this Jeep Loven girl very happy.
