Engine Performance problem
1979 Jeep J10 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic
It idles a little rough and when i put it in gear it stalls. Iwas wondering what could be the cause of this. ts actually a j20 with a 360 motor.I

if i idles rough it can be an ignition problem or a valve problem. make sure it is getting spark first to the plug and if it is then pull the valve cover off form the offending side and see ifyou have a bent pushrod or something like that. Take a compression test as well and all cylinders should be within 20% of each other. If not it's a valve /piston/ring problem.......
