1986 Jeep Comanche 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

Need to rewire fuel pump, and wondering is there special gasoline resistant wire coating for the wiring? Also the new pump seems??? to be missing a rubber cushsion-bushing for the top that would secure it to the top adjustable bracket. I'm worried about this whole procedure might cause an explosion if done incorrectly. I don't want to be making an electric Molotov!
