I have 1986 CJ7 140,000 miles, V6 258. When I accelerate onto the highway it makes a cracking sound around 45 miles an hour and the sound stops at 55 but the jeep tops out at 60 mph. It does shimmy but I need a reverse shackles and more suggestions. I do have large tires on which is added weight.
