Brakes problem
1985 Jeep CJ7 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I need to replace the front brake lines and the old lines bolt directly into the caliper with a 5/16 fitting - the only replacement lines I can find require a banjo bolt. In order to replace the brake lines I think I need a 5/16 banjo bolt however I cannot find one of those from your typical automotive parts store. The local Jeep deal sold me replacement parts 3/8 banjo bolts - these don't fit. I'm trying to figure out what is wrong - do I need to new calipers? Do I need to find break lines with a 5/16 fitting? Or do I need to find 5/16 banjo bolts and hope they fit the Russell Brakelines I purchased from 4WD. The jeep dealer is no help and I can find no publication that tells me what the stock setup should be. Help?

Hardware store, they carry large selection of anything, more than autoparts stores. It may not be the collar hex head bolt but they can find something with the same thread diameter and pitch. Other than that if you want OEM try ARP, they make tons of automotive hardware or a junkyard.
